New bit of music!

Business Casual is a bit of absolute fluff, but fluff I'm quite proud of. In late 2025, I was invited by the University to put on background music for a research event at Parliament House in Canberra. Of course, I thought that meant it had to be new, my own, and from scratch. I prepared about 40 minutes' worth of musical content, only to arrive and be told that I'd be performing for about 2 hours all up! Argh! Everything got a repeat and an extended improv section.

This was one of those vibe-y tracks, with plenty of sampled lines made up of recordings of the Parliament bells...A sound that quite literally peals throughout the entire building, and signals that voting will be taking place imminently.

I love vocal percussion. While I don't like singing on my own tracks, I love creating vocal instruments out of short sound bursts. You can hear a lot of that sort of thing throughout, usually created with the Drum Rack on Ableton or the Sampler/Simpler.
